Directions to Croke Park - ISAT Conference

Croke Park Map - Click Map for Larger map - Opens in new windowCroke Park Stadium Conference Centre entrance is located on Jones Road beside the Royal Canal immediately opposite the construction site for the new Croke Park Hotel.  Free Car parking for ISAT conference participants will be available in the Canal Car Park.  The Canal Car Park is located off the North Circular Road, via St. Margaret's Avenue as indicated in the map to your right.  You enter this car park to the left off the north circular road while travelling easterly in the Summerhill/North Strand Road direction.  On entering the car park your access to Croke Park Stadium is in the TOP LEFT CORNER and consists of a very short walkway which brings you out onto Jones Road, beside the canal bridge.  Just turn immediately right on Jones Road and the main entrance to the stadium is but a few yards further on the right.  We shall erect suitable signage on the walkway directly from this car park to the Jones Road entrance.  The walkway is sign-posted from Jones Road, to the car park.  It is a very short walk.  Adequate security will be provided at the car park on the day.

A limited number of ten spaces will be made available for drivers with special needs.  Participants who genuinely require one of these spaces must clearly indicate so when making a booking to attend the conference.  In addition to the normal information supplied on the booking form the ISAT member must also state the make, registration number and colour of their car.  Access to Croke Park Stadium for drivers with special needs is via St. Josephs Avenue off Clonliffe Road.  Such bookings must be made well in advance.

If travelling from the Airport / North, travel down the N1 to the Whitehall Crossroads.  Go straight through and follow the road through Drumcondra.  At the end of the Drumcondra Road Lower, turn left onto Clonliffe Road at the Bank of Ireland and then take the third right onto Jones's Road at the traffic lights. Croke Park is on your left.

Via the N2, go straight through Finglas Road, continue along Prospect Road and turn left onto the North Circular Road.  Continue straight on and at Russell Street turn left. Continue straight on and Croke Park is on your right.

A public bus (16, 16A) from the Airport will take you to Drumcondra Road, two minutes walk from the stadium.  Alternatively, taxis are a good option from door to door service.

If travelling from the City Centre, the following bus routes will take you to Drumcondra Road: 11, 11A, 16, 16A and 41.  The bus stop is located on O’Connell Street outside the old Carlton Cinema near the General Post Office.

Buses take the route O’Connell Street, Dorset St, and then Drumcondra RoadAsk the bus driver to leave you off at the Drumcondra Road bus stop nearest to Croke Park.  Five minutes walking will take you from the bus stop to the Croke Park Conference Centre.  The total journey will take approximately 20 minutes.

From Heuston Station take the Luas to the City Centre (Lower Abbey Street) or take the bus 90A (which meets the trains) and get off at Eden Quay.  From Lower Abbey Street you can take the Bus 41.  The bus stop is located outside the Abbey Life Centre (opposite the Peacock Theatre).  The bus operates about every 15 minutes.  From Lower Abbey Street, the buses take the route, Gardiner Street, Dorset Street and then Drumcondra RoadAsk the bus driver to let you off at the Drumcondra Road bus stop nearest to Croke Park.  It will be approximately a 5 minute walk from the bus stop to the Croke Park conference centre.  The total journey will take approximately 30 to 40 minutes.

From Connolly Train Station and Bus Arás (bus station located near to Connolly train station) walk down to Lower Abbey Street where you can take the Bus 41.  The bus stop is located outside the Abbey Life Centre (opposite the Peacock Theatre).  The bus operates about every 15 minutes.  From Lower Abbey Street the buses take the route, Gardiner Street, Dorset Street and then Drumcondra RoadAsk the bus driver to leave you off at the Drumcondra Road bus stop nearest to Croke Park.  It will be approximately a 5 minute walk from the bus stop to the Croke Park Conference Centre.  The total journey will take approximately 30 minutes.

If walking from O’Connell Street (city centre) Croke Park is approximately a 25 minute brisk walk.  From Connolly Train Station and Bus Arás it is approximately a 20/25 minute walk.  It is not within walking distance of Heuston Station.
