Sleep deprived physicians are negatively affected in terms of alertness,
well-being and thinking skills, according to the
authors of a study published in the October issue of
Critical Care Medicine. /.............
Brain Grey Matter Declines In Sleep Apnoea Patients
Researchers have shown that the volume of grey matter in the brains of patients
with obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA) was reduced by up to 18% compared with
normal controls. The amount of the reduction increased as the syndrome became
